Exercise rehabilitation

Poor posture, such as that developed by sitting at a computer workstation for long periods, or as a result of increased or decreased spinal curves, can have a large contributory effect on long term back and neck problems.
Whilst physical treatment can help the sudden onset pain, the problem will return if the underlying mechanical problems are not addressed. Exercises can be very helpful in this.
Exercises are not a 'quick fix', they need to be tailored to the individual, worked at by patients, and monitored usually by a Physiotherapist or Osteopath and Andrew Gilmour can help in this. The results of working at such longer term programmes can be both rewarding and enduring.
This type of approach will often be combined with attention to other lifestyle factors, such as weight loss, stress management, general exercise and lifestyle management.
